One thing I am 100% sure that I will miss when my kids grow up is the way they talk. My daughter, like her momma, is a perfectionist. When she’s speaking slowly, she likes to practice all those difficult sounds – you know, those pesky “L” and “R” sounds (be vewy vewy quiet… I’m hunting wabbit!). But when she’s excited and singing? Oh, that’s a different story. So this morning, while my husband and I got dressed, the kids sat in a laundry basket and pretended they were going for a ride in a boat. Be still my heart. Since my original and primary purpose of this blog is to document my children’s lives, I had to give this one a doodle. Because for the rest of my life, when I hear anyone singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” I will hear this in my head instead. Then I’ll laugh, smile, and probably cry. After all, mewwiwy, mewwiwy, mewwiwy, mewwiwy, wife is but a dweam.
